Soloist with the American Ballet Theatre
When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you say?
I say I am a dancer, storyteller, and artist. My career has many hats - I get to do so many projects in the arts. Hopefully one day I'll expand even more beyond dancing.
What’s an important investment you’ve made in yourself?
I struggled a lot with injury when I first started my career. It took that to realize I needed to do a lot more than rest to maintain my body and instrument. I started going to an acupuncturist, chiropractor, and Pilates instructor. It is an on going search for balance.
What’s your personal definition of #treatyourself?
Some chocolate, cheese, and a great glass of Malbec.
“Recently, I took a vacation to Barbados by myself. I had never been on vacation alone before but it was one of the most peaceful times in my life. I enjoyed every second and recommend everyone try it at least once.”
Who inspires you?
My parents inspire me the most. They raised me to believe that anything is possible. As cliché as that sounds, I witnessed it on the daily growing up. If they wanted to pursue a new career, hobby, anything, they made it happen. They didn't hesitate to support me when I decided to pursue a career in dance. Before they even knew if I'd make it as a pro, they picked up everything and moved to NY to make it happen. There was no plan B, just "the now." Currently they are living near the beach and my little bro is also pursuing a career in the arts. They taught me to always take action, don't just talk about something.

What makes you feel strong and confident?
The love and support of my peers. There is nothing like making eye contact with your best friends on stage and getting that extra burst of energy.
