TITLE: Production Manager (Production, QA, Operations)

REPORTS TO: Director Product Development & Production


Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily communication with factories on all production related matters
  • Manage the bulk production of all styles with Director of PD/Production including tracking of bulk materials in factory and PP/TOP approvals
  • Create and maintain POs in Netsuite system
  • Review and process all bulk PIs and invoices from factories and record/track payments
  • Monitor and communicate with vendors on Time and Action and Work in Progress docs to ensure on time delivery of bulk 
  • Communicate with cross functional team on production/shipment status, creating visibility for peers and leadership team. 
  • Review packing lists and shipping docs prior to handing over goods to freight forwarders
  • Assist in the development of new factories, including onboarding and training 
  • KPI and Scorecard Reporting – Develop comprehensive scorecard metrics, analyze for potential opportunities, and present with senior leadership team
  • Manage and track the inbound and outbound shipping activities through the logistics partners and carriers
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations and documentation
  • Monitor and manage freight budgets. Negotiate rates and contracts to align with growth objectives
  • Review and approve weekly freight invoices for inbound/outbound shipments and duty statements for imports
  • Determine, verify and maintain proper HTS codes of each product 
  • Manage and schedule 3rd party bulk inspections including quote approvals and review of reports. 
  • Create and Maintain vendor manuals for shipping, packaging, and testing
  • Coordinate 3rd party material and garment testing


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in production management 
  • Experience in inbound/outbound, international/domestic logistics and warehouse operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience in customs clearance, brokerage, harmonized tariff system, international trade agreements for import and export
  • Thorough understanding of garments, construction, and manufacturing processes
  • Thorough understanding of garment and fabric technology
  • Factory connections in women’s intimates
  • Willingness to travel overseas to factories as required
  • Detail oriented, with strong excel and power point skills 
  • Organized and very good follow up skills
  • Sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities
  • Team player
  • Strong work ethic
  • Reliable
  • Self-starter
  • Strong working knowledge of tech packs
  • Clear and thorough understanding of product development and product cycle timelines
