Wardrobe Stylist for editorial and advertising
What prompted you to pursue a path (career or passion) tied to style and fashion?
I love clothes, style and fashion history. It’s so interesting to think about people, images and historical periods from a clothing standpoint - fashion is such a conscious choice and tells a story.
What elements comprise the foundation of your personal style / signature / uniform?
My personal style is based in the mixing of elements like masculine & feminine, young & old, classic & new. My uniform is often vintage Levi’s or wool trousers with structured blazers and cotton tanks and tees. I have more “fun” with my accessories - I love a pop of color in a shoe or bag and gold jewelry. I have used the word “teenage” because I will forever wear certain things I started wearing in high school (Patagonia puffers, Hanes tank tops, Chuck Taylors, Dr Martens, I could go on).
What do you look for most when it comes to intimates (bras, underwear, base layers)?
Comfort and flattering shapes. For everyday, I love cotton. Negative’s pieces are so soft and uncomplicated, they feel like a second skin.
What makes you feel amazing in your own skin?
Hot yoga and at least 8 hours of sleep.
What makes you feel strong and confident when it comes to what you wear?
A high-waisted pant and a good shoe.
What is the best fashion investment you’ve ever made and why?
A vintage Chanel weekender bag because I’ll have it forever and it makes packing fun.
Favorite motivational saying / quote / advice?
I mean… “Never leave a rhinestone unturned” - Dolly Parton, the queen.
